Revlon Of Water Proof Make Up

Fear of traffic, lunch untouchable even if more "salty", dormitories ...

Traffic in Shanghai
by decade_null
The slow traffic means that Chinese have a crazy fear of speed, and everyone, including taxi drivers are afraid to go, even in empty streets, more than 50 km / h. And so the ambulance, which uses only the siren, no hurry at all. Untouchable is the slow lunch break at noon and a half, 30 minutes in which time stops, taxis no longer circulate, Shanghai seems immobilized and-only for a while '- stops running. And this, despite the rise in prices. Throughout the world there is nothing to talk about the rise in agricultural commodities, and here one sees the effects Direct: Saizeriya , a chain of inexpensive restaurants where you can buy a plate of pasta with a meat or € + potato + egg + nag them to 1.60 euro, has revised upward the price of rice, that those 10 cents before, it is these days is doubled to 20.
I say about because there is another fact: the revaluation of the yuan (the Chinese currency ), which is becoming "stronger" than before: in January 1000 when the yuan was around € 90, today equivalent (11 months later!) to 120 €.
And even if this is happening, the cost of labor continues to remain low, and workers in some way non appagati: proprio l'altro ieri, camminando per strada di sera, ho visto degli operai che dormivano in un dormitorio alquanto strano.

Teachers still on fake Chinese market, Berlusconi and ASEM, Churrascheria

"With increasing prosperity, they all realize, sooner or later, you have something to defend." John Kenneth Galbraith

One Sunday morning in Xujiahui,
by Marc van der Chijs

giving private lessons in the language here is paid from 12 to 15 euro per hour, I went well now, having already found two boys (Jason, an Englishman who wants to marry an Italian, and Diane, a beautiful Filipina who was accompanied by a - to date - our Italian politician). In two weeks will also begin to teach part-time at the School of Italian Language in Zhongshan Park, fifteen hours week.

The area is where I'll go to Xujiahui, famous for the southern station, brothels and some f ake market, on the other hand, the fake market there and elsewhere, as in Fuxin Lu and Fuzhou Lu (two blocks from the Piazza del Popolo, the main square of Shanghai). Both relate to technology stuff: for example you can buy one of those electronic dictionaries Pocket invoice Japanese (speaking English, Chinese, Japanese, and English) at 50 €, whereas in Tokyo it costs 6 times as much. But also in terms of clothing is not joking: if in the shopping center there are only original brand clothing, in street markets there is everything and more, sometimes a price less than 30 times. And often, these items are not fake, they are simply inventories of large brands that are allowed along a parallel market after approval of the large multinationals, in contrast to the feel of it around. In fact, with this system, while the trends are taking hold at low prices, including youth groups, and then strengthen and "legalize" in shopping centers: a boy who begins to dress "trendy" always search for that brand, albeit at higher prices.

Meanwhile, a few weeks ago, the Italian Prime Minister Berlusconi arrived in Beijing to participate in the proceedings of the 7th ASEM should lay the foundations for East-West cooperation. The Chinese political do not see the buon'occhio beyond the Protocol, because of his words a couple of years ago: "China boiled babies were to be used as fertilizer." Expect from him, again, an official apology.

However, I suggest, to relax from politics, to go to a Brazilian restaurant where about 16 euro per person with the food at will, including the most varied buffet, meat and fish, and then, once at the table, a waiter brings you every 5 minutes a piece of meat than the previous one, as one of the best Churrascheria .

If a man scream for 8 years, 7 months and 6 days would produce enough energy to heat one cup of coffee.

Brazilian universities in China: the center of Nanjing Aerospace

Gate entrance of the University of Nanking , by ashengrove
I have had the chance to go to teach Italian language to ' Aerospace University Nanjing , replacing a teacher who had a problem with the visa in Hong Kong. For three days I'm back in university, and I could see how it works.

Meanwhile, here are the American campus, or across the university are concentrated in one large area, equipped with dormitories, hotels for any relatives, canteen, gymnasium, piscina, discoteca e quant'altro.

Apart from the time I did not, but basically what I've learned Chinese in a month in China? Almost nothing.

There is a respect for the acclaimed professor, all classrooms have computer and projector, and the secretaries are extremely available for photocopying. After the lessons, which can last until 9 pm, a lot of people go to play basketball (sport preferred by boys), or running, or playing badminton and tennis. An average meal at the table, say, rice, vegetables, tofu or meat costs 70 cents. The attention of students in class in general is high, because the language courses generally have no more than 20 students (my 16).

E 'was great to see them, each immersed in his book, he read aloud heedless of the passers-by.

Playgrounds, tips and Chinese

Amusement Park Shanghai China by pnoeric
In August, despite being under 2 million admissions because of Olympics, because of constraints in granting of visas by the Chinese government have counted 500 thousand people. To the authorities' local ', however, been a sounding incredible, so much so' that are transmitted over the bus still rolling the images of that event. In fact, attachment to external manifestations of magnitude (as the starting of the Olympics) and 'apparent elsewhere, for example in the playground. All of which are crazy, from 0 to 30 years. The difference with a Disneyland (only in Hong Kong) or a Ben and 'but' and that 'all patently false, as we tend to build characters and scenes as much as' close as possible to the truth.
And I also discovered that not only leave the tips here and 'rude, but forbidden: I tried to park and that some taxi and restaurant. Then I discovered that the employees and 'a kind of betrayal of his own company (and country), since' the company might think that you're trying to do business behind him. Tale scrittura ha avuto an appeal so powerful as to be adopted in countries culturally and linguistically very different, such as Korea, Japan, Vietnam.

24H shops & fast food

Shanghai Jingan area, by ZeHawk
Yesterday I moved house, I have not moved too far from where I lived, always Jingan area , 30-40 minute walk from where I work. Home Office, silent, along with a Chinese and a German boy who does the training German Chamber of Commerce. Today I went to check-in hospital, all in the past, they gave me the usual pomatine and some pills.

Someone coming in China, will be stunned by most supermarkets or some shop remains open 24-24h . Often the Mc Donald's. The fact here is that operators want to provide excellent service to customers. In addition, the Chinese are so many great and go consumption, so to 2-3-4 at night there's always someone, or that it is a shop of clothing, a small supermarket, large supermarket chain, Lianhua and economic, or Mc. Donald's. Comuque that will have its good economic return to the end.
Another example. At lunch there are some Chinese fast food, that is a cross between a restaurant and our tray tables, where you choose the food you prefer, you served, you eat in a hurry and you go back to work. E 'frequented by many young people, also because it's cheap. With € 1.5 I have taken a soup, a bowl of rice, chicken, fish, tofu, egg and peppers. The soup and rice were free, included in the price of other foods, typically 50-60 euro cents per serving.

Chinese military exercises in China and Hospitals

by Chinese soldiers cornfed1975
Two Sundays ago long long sirens sounded at intervals throughout the morning. Exercises were military aircraft, in prevention of natural and / or disasters such as earthquakes. And staying in the military for my umpteenth trip to Nanjing , the pay of my friends, and after being on behalf consulate as the opening of several shops in Shanghai, including that of Aurora pens (usually buffet gifts), I can talk about the University of Nanking. Infiltratomi as "professor of Italian, with the support of my friends in the dorm and women (in general, however, call the police if a person of any rank enters the women's dorm), even further to avoid paying a hotel, I was able to assist to the one here is normal. Ie the military exercises for all students 19 years old, which last from 1 week to 1 month according to the University (Nanjing to 2 weeks): green uniform for boys and blue for girls, with a lot of orders, military steps, songs, obligation to carry the flag. All day, from dawn to dusk, with 4 hours of rest. E 'obligation to do so it is said, not now accustomed to lax university.
The dorm rooms are usually small, but well taken: they contain four beds per room with a bunk bed above the desk below. In each apartment there are usually three rooms. What I want to leave the bathrooms are really dirty, and with it Turkey.
Since the entry is prohibited to the males, the couples usually have just two ways used to make love, or take a hotel room, even a Single beds (19 €) per night, where they can enter without documents up to 4 people, or call a taxi for a ride to the pay gap and tell him to lower the rearview mirror ... (Really sleazy)

Son had to come back in a hurry with the slow train from Nanjing (who hate the Chinese, about 3 ½ hours), especially considering that this week, that at the turn of October 1 (National Day the founding of the People's Republic of China ), is overcrowded because all students and all off-site workers must return from their families, not to mention the millions of people who take advantage of these holidays to go on vacation.
I said, I'm back in a hurry for the appearance of strange bubbles on the body ("xiao dou dou" in Chinese), then scopertesi chickenpox, a fairly mild form. We'll see. This allowed me to examine a very important speech, that hospital. It 's true or not true that hospitals are expensive in China? It 's true and not true. In the sense that if you break a finger and you have to do a slab, or for any other reason, the TAC, you pay in full (from 500 to 1000 €). But including complex are cheaper and system works. First, the Chinese system is efficient: the hospitals are thematic (eg I went to one specializing in "Dermatology and venereal diseases"), a package must be completed with a pseudo name (no matter how false, many people make false Privacy ), there is no difference between Chinese and foreign, the first time you go they give you a card that will be usable in all departments of all hospitals registered to the pseudo name.
Generally always superaffolatti Chinese hospital environment and open only from 9 to 17 or 18 (only first aid is always open), then in the morning is likely to find, and I am not exaggerating, even 500 people in line. Also because all Chinese people are hypochondriacs, afraid even of the smallest bubble on the face. Despite this, usually in the two hours you hurry. It took me 1 hour and I paid 28 € for a visit to specialist (2 €), blood tests (6 €) to buy medicines (20 € for 2 boxes of antiviral drugs and 2 of calamine lotion that will last me for all rescrudescenza the disease). And, apart from itching, I have been satisfied.

Efficiency of China's National Day, and business cards

Shanghai Bank (Norman Foster) by FHKE
This morning I had to go to pay the deposit for the rent to Chinese bank, banks who usually work from 9 to 17. Trovatomi front of the bank at 8:55 I found myself in front of a row of almost 30 people expectant opening of the bank, which took place promptly at 9. I thought, if we were in Italy, here we would have to wait at least 2 hours, since we are in China, where everything is (alas ?!!!) more efficient, it will take me half an hour. In reality, it took me 5 minutes ... In Italy over 10 branches is fat if they are open 2 or 3 in China, a small branch on the whole, there were 5 and all 5 are open, including the one with the "spekaing Inglese service" for foreigners, and guard prepared to help in the compilation of paper in China, where I did not understand where to enter the data! This is China! Despite the help, and not to lose "face" in front of the "other" people, will do anything.

I print my business cards with the seal of the Consulate, to be produced strictly at every public meeting. Exchanging business cards is essential and indispensable in every match. When two people (politicians, diplomats, business colleagues, present and future) are encountered, they can not exchange a note, strictly to be presented with two hands and bowed his head slightly in approval. Before handing it to be taken with both hands for a few seconds to give another way to read your status, after which it is immancambile xièxiè , thanksgiving. Do not forget that when a Chinese speaks English, but speaks like shit, you say, 'Your Inglese is very very good "as a sign of approval, it is the impairment of future relationships or not, partly because, basically, the Chinese also in meetings with foreigners only speak Chinese.

Exhibitions and Fairs in Shanghai Suzhou Nightlife

Pudong New Area, by galaygobi
The Pudong New Area is the area dedicated to Fairs in Shanghai. The International Tourism Exchange in Milan are or SMAU un baffo a quegli immensi padiglioni.

The Chinese were not so, but there were a lot of Indians. However this show was funded by the German fair, especially Dusserdolf and Monaco: why there were several booths Germans. But even the Italians were not wanting: that the machinery is an area where we are particularly capable, at times even for product quality. On this tour we had about a 50ntina stand, 30 grouped close together and they gave us a good picture.
rather less important in the field of renewable energies, with 7-8 companies and some of Naples (!!!), still must think its a waste). The bad thing was, however, see that while other countries proposed machinery, instrumentation, good ideas, we were the only things we had boxes and crushers, which has to do with very little money.

Was George Crum Educated

and business in Shanghai

Shanghai Nightlife This weekend we took a taxi to Suzhou, I, one Chinese, one Japanese, one English. Total price for an hour and a half by taxi to another city, complete with a toll highway, 45 €. We left after a stop at Starbuck's, and arrived in Suzhou after dark, going clubbing. In a night without sleep, we were in 4 different places, then refreshments, before the morning train, to eat hot pot in a little place of China, then chicken, Tofy, vegetables, and so at 4.30 am. Despite the sleep, the train took us back home in the timetable just to go to bed about 5 am. This meant that dormissimo today. A note on dancing: do not exist here. In the true sense of the word. What we call "dancing", and we pay an average of 15-20 euro per night, there are bars or clubs (a few Chinese who speak English know the word "disco") with free entry: everything revolves around the counter where it is served a drink, then be different tracks and lounges where you can dance, and become private, refreshment, but the very concept of "dance floor" does not exist. In short, everything is much more characterized by company rather than the dance itself.

Taking a flight of fancy, I have said many times that few speak English. Leaving aside the Chinese who have studied abroad, who speak it well, others have difficulties in pronunciation, even if you write decently. Nevertheless, despite some delays in the study of English, Chinese, unlike the Italians, have realized one thing: the English spoken is not the grammar that seems to prevail in Italian schools. For this study the songs, the sayings, the inflections, rather than the grammar books. And I think this is very positive.
In fact, I come to the second part of speech, I disagree with people saying that the labor force in China will not cost you anything, I've said many times too, but referring to the local companies and working here in China. If we take one with a degree already, and knows a little English, already the cost for a company, including pay-taxes-insurance, goes up to 1000 € each one, although lower than the Italian average cost, not cheap. There is another cost to be incurred: the high turnover of labor, not the loyalty of the employee, the cost of training. Which sometimes interfere. For this reason, one that comes to investing in China can not expect an immediate economic return.

Scorched Stainless Steel

over 1000 Italian companies in China ShangHai

Just now I'm writing from the office, the Consul gave me at the sales office, so you can manage individual contacts with Italian companies operating in South-East China (Shanghai, Jiangsu Province , Zhejiang Province). To contact the embassy with the South thinks of Guangdong (Canton), those with north to Beijing. The Consulate here, very efficient given the commercial nature of Shanghai, has an internal employee 50ntina Italian, Italian-Chinese , China. All very friendly and without the snobbish, even the console, despite the staggering salaries, the only Regimental ties, annual subscriptions to the Club Golf.

work closely with Mr. A ***, in China for 12 years, plurilaureato, but a true force of nature; esteem also the Colonel of the Financial Police, one of the 12 Colonels that operate around the world through diplomatic channels (we ', throughout the world only 12, he takes care of all of Asia from this Office). When I was officially invited to the opening dinner of the new residence of the Consul two (husband and wife), I immediately thought of a formal 'environment. Actually 'and' was a buffet with friends, very very funny. I think I happened to be in a special group, also because 'talking about the former was not so' good. The high-ranking staff according to the laws Italian and 'Compulsory every four years to relocate to another continent, to avoid collusion policies. The first day I was welcomed by the illustrious director of the Institute of Culture, truly a man of culture. What I like and 'just that: the contact between the various "sections" in Italian, which are all in the same building: Consulate, Institute of Culture, Chamber of Commerce, ICE (Institute for Foreign Trade), which already' me did attend a conference on the presence of Italian companies in China .

Given the spraying business in Italy, we do not have the same advantage to other countries or multinational companies, while not ' true that in China, they make easy money (for companies who work here). Need patience, time, adaptability '. Here are some 1000 Italian companies at the moment but to have a good economic return you should expect at least 3 years to affect the cost of staff, and not 'true that' statement because it 'in Italian companies need qualified personnel, problems with the language, bureaucratic, legal, high turnover of staff which hardly binds to the Chinese company, since it's' ready to leave for an increase of 10 €. There were, therefore, many failures. It 'an indispensable translator.

Shanghai city
Welcome back, said the city seemed to me once here. I was welcomed with open arms by a ShangHai muggy, but still my dream, always moving, never equal to itself. Chaotic. Viva!

We can not lull the static 'a' that now sinks Italy. Here in a few months 'completed one of the most buildings' highest in the world , 110 plans, and others are under construction. Upon arrival, now a week ago, the Pudong airport reminded me how different life and way of thinking here, but also how (for better or worse) all to be more 'efficient. Where you can not 'waste time.

Alex, the friend dell'italianizzato Renato, and 'came to take the car to the airport, where - along with Renato's mother - took me to the home of Fei, Jiaozhou Road, Jingan District, where the headquarters of the famous Jingan Temple. On arrival a warm Fei was able to give me all the hospitality 'I needed, that hospitality' typically Chinese that maybe, sometimes we forget Italian. Environment with the new zone, and 'was easy, the day after just to see my work, the Consulate of Italy , floor 19 of the new Center in The ChengLe Lu, a 30-minute walk from my house or 12/13 with a taxi.

Do You Have To Pay For Dental Crown Upgrades

An Italian in Shanghai

Stroll through the center of Shanghai, by HIPNOS
Xiao Long, before moving to the Consulate General of Italy site in Shanghai thanks to the success in a contract sponsored jointly by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and CRUI, had the time to practice any profession that would allow him to gain experience among the most varied, as has always seen the work even as a means of improve, even if it was the most humble. Following the principle of "do unto others as you would not want have done to you ", he found himself working among flyers, newspapers, stores, hotels, government among the most varied, and purify themselves in semi-mystical experiences such as the Camino de Santiago up to Finisterre.

The Chinese decision has emerged gradually , first due to the attraction for the East out of love for Japan that made me discover a different world, then through more frequent media attention to the phenomenon of China, seen by most as "communism different." Not convinced of this, I am increasingly concerned at the unveiling of the phenomenon, starting with discounted books Rampini, only to find those more interesting for Terzani.

Solo partire.
